Natural Soap

We make our soaps from vegetable oils and they are tested by friends and family - no animal products/by products are used in the process or for testing.

Soap is the end product of a chemical reaction between various vegetable oils (or animal fats as used in the commercial sector), and caustic soda (sodium hydroxide/lye) - known as 'saponification'.

We add various ingredients to give the soap a more luxurious lather, or a softer, smoother touch.  Also, to give a distinct aroma we add various essential oils and occassionally fragrances as some natural essential oils are cost prohibitive (ie, hyacinth or blackcurrant bud). We also add things like honey or beeswax and oatmeal for texture.

We make no theraputic claims for any of our products - we hope you will like them because they do what they are meant to do, ie soap cleans you, body butters make you skin feel softer etc, and that they make you feel good

Scrubs & Body Butters

We also make body butters and sugar and salt scubs all with natural products.  No parabans or such things here.
